Frequently Asked Questions

How are sessions structured?

Our sessions are an open conversation centered around you, your experiences, values, and goals. My hope is that our sessions allow space to build our relationship, so I can learn how to support you best.

Initial sessions are a time to dive deeper into your Welcome Packet (initial paperwork), so we can lay a foundation of knowledge and a base to work from.

Follow up sessions are a time to decide on what work is needed now, set goals, review “homework” and adjust next steps where we see fit.

Do you provide support between sessions?

Yes! If you have questions or something comes up before your next session, I will make note or if it’s appropriate I will respond via email. There is not an additional charge for this communication.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies for each individual and it’s your choice in how long you would like to work together. Your journey is unique and there isn’t an exact science to determining how you will progress or how many sessions will be best. I am happy to provide an estimate after our initial session, but this may change during our work together.

What are the payment options? Do you accept insurance?

All payment is done through Quickbooks. You have the option to pay via bank transfer or credit card.

At this time, I do not accept insurance. I acknowledge that is a barrier to care. Please reach out if you have financial constraints or questions, as I am happy to discuss further.

How do I know if intuitive eating is right for me?

IE is client-centered, meaning it’s not an all-or-nothing approach, so it’s for everyone!

As your partner in your wellness journey, we will assess you as whole person and decide where to start with IE to align with your goals. Everyone’s journey with IE varies and it is not linear. There are 10 IE principles, but you may flow in and out as you learn how to reconnect with your body.

What is weight neutral coaching?

I work from a framework that emphasizes respect for diversity of body shapes and sizes. My goal when working together is to find ways to care for yourself that are health-promoting and life-giving vs. unsustainable, and potentially harmful.
